Jen (a dear friend from real life), I admit to freaking out. Not about you reading, but I can't believe I slipped and left my sign on name on the other blog. I have tried to be so careful. Sigh.
Maybe it isn't really all that bad that you've seen I am not perfect. (I'll admit I am pretty good at making it seem that way, though.) Let's face it, I have a looooong way to go to reach perfection.
My only request is that, um, you just not tell anyone else that we know about this place? I don't want to feel like I need to edit myself because all kinds of people from real life know about this place.
But, I can't help to wonder if there are any others who have found this blog through my little slip up. Is that paranoid? Probably.
ANYWAY, I think it is time for me to partake in the de-lurking fest that has been happening all over the blogosphere. Come out, come out, whoever you are...let me know who's reading. Yes, you! Pretty please. Would you be so kind to drop a little line letting me know a little about you?
Even if I know you in real life.
Most especially if I know you in real life!
well, i've meant to write you before this. i've meant to write over ten different times, and i never did. and now you are calling us "all" to de-lurk. i guess it's time.
ReplyDeletei found your blog while i was on bed rest in october '07; i was "sentenced" to the hospital at 20 weeks with premature labor. niiiiccce.
i had only read a few days of your life, of the boys' life, when it happened to me. my twins, a boy and a girl, were born at 26 weeks 6 days on december 17.
since that day, i have followed your story. i have cried, prayed, and laughed for you. you have showed me - over and over - how to be a good mother by your words and actions, and i have paid attention.
i married a guy i went to high school with; i was a 7th grade english teacher (until bed rest); my mom was hit by a car (though her injuries were not life-threatening ) only three weeks after your father passed; i have miracle babies. i'm amazed at how much we have in common, and we don't even know each other - opposite ends of the US , and yet, i feel a connection to you. to think . . . you never even knew about me.
stacy, you have been an incredible source of inspiration for me over the past year. your blog is a tribute to your incredible strength of character. you should be so proud of what you have done here.

I'm here, but you knew that.
ReplyDeleteI'M A FAITHFUL READER but a lazy commenter at times :)
ReplyDeleteKerry and Neenie -- love you guys. Thank you for being my buddies.
ReplyDeleteK -- EMAIL ME!! I have got to officially meet you! :-) (and your comment made me cry...)
I'm just like Neenie. I read every post but I am not a great commenter-especially lately because laying on my side in bed does not allow me to type very well. But since you asked so nicely for delurking I thought I should remind you that I'm always here!
ReplyDeleteIm here too, but I think you already know that since I've had comments from you before. I dont remember how I found your blog. It was quite some time ago, before you even knew you were pregnant with your miracle babies. And I've followed you ever since. You are an incredible mother.
ReplyDeleteAlways reading and trying to comment every post.
ReplyDeleteI'm here... but I'm always here... I'm sure you already know that :)
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I am delurking!
ReplyDeleteTag by the way!
This is my undelurking comment :)
ReplyDeleteHi Stacie, here with Kyla, but you knew that already ;)
ReplyDeleteSending you a cyber hug...
Karen
You are the reason I started. You are the first blog that I started following. Because of you, I have fallen in love with many blogs. Thanks, Stacie!

delurking to say hi
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a lurker than a commenter. Since you asked - I think I found your blog not long after I learned I was pregnant with twins (now 10 months old) after IVF. But it might have been earlier. I wound up on strict bedrest at 24 weeks with an "incompetent" - more like completely useless - cervix and was incredibly lucky to make it to a little after 34 weeks. Reading your story helped prepare me for the NICU with my boys and know that I wasn't alone in feeling like I had failed them. I love your honesty and your strength. You're a kick ass mom. And your boys are amazing, adorable little guys.

*waves* another regular reader but lazy commenter.
ReplyDeleteAs always - I'm here with you! Meme
ReplyDeleteHello! I found your blog through Opheliasrevival and have been following for like 2 months. I just started my own blog this month. I have been trying to have a baby for a year now so I love hearing about your boys, they give me hope!
ReplyDeleteI read, often. We met on the "Over 34 and can't get pregnant forum" I'm Dana. AND, we both got pregnant and now have boys. Well, I have a boy. Not boys.
ReplyDeleteK's comment even made ME cry!
ReplyDeleteYou know I read even if I comment sporadically.
ReplyDeleteYou know how crazy things get.
I have been following for a long time as well but never commented.
ReplyDeleteDelurking too...
ReplyDeleteI always read, I sometimes comment. But I assume you know I'm here all the time. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have also read your blog since you were pregnant. I guess I am just one of those bad people who don't comment. I check in almost daily to see how you and your lovely boys are doing. Your a great mom by the way, keep up the good work!

i'm a follower and fan of those precious little guys! (and you, too, for being such a good mommy).
ReplyDeleteI'm still here...
ReplyDeleteI de-lurked via e-mail, but now that I get it I can de-lurk here, too. I read, my daughter reads, and sometimes I comment, too. We think your boys are darling!
ReplyDeleteI'll join in the fun and delurk as well. I found your blog through Mel's and have been following along sporadically since you gave birth to your beautiful boys. I too have twins and know how hard the day to day challenges can be and can't even the fathom the strength you must have to deal with the extra special needs that your boys face. Big kudos to you!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sporadic reader and have never commented. I too have twin boys through IVF and they are 3 now (born October 18, 2005). You are an incredible mother!
ReplyDeleteI'm here! I'm really crap at commenting, I'm so sorry, but I'm always here and I adore you and your gorgeous boys.
ReplyDeletedelurking. um, hi. I have been reading along for a little while, don't really remember where I found you.
ReplyDeleteDelurking-ish? I don't read often, but do read from time to time. Have loved how many kind words you've had for a friend (comment on your Roundup post below).
ReplyDeleteI am actually going to bookmark you because I have enjoyed checking in from time to time. Hope you don't mind.
I have a blog...if you are interested. If not, that's ok. But I like to know who's reading me. :) It's invite-only but just email me at jpond_24@yahoo.com.
Word of caution, though. While I have battled the IF monster, I have a son (IVF) who's 13 mo (Dec 6, 07) and is almost 100% healthy (eating issues) and so if that's a hard thing, I want you to know I respect that. I also have a daughter (adopted) who is 20 months.
Hi ..... I'm delurking. I'm a shy, retiring, reserved redhead who abhors swearing HAHAHAHAHAHA.
ReplyDeleteYou mofo rock, Stacie XOXOX
