I had a rough day at school today. There are only 7 days left to the school year, and we are all feeling it. The end of the year can't come quick enough for any of us.
One highlight of the day was during first period. I had asked my students to fill out some paperwork so I could update the student cumulative records. This wasn't earth shattering information; I asked for things like name, address, date of birth, parent occupations, etc. Simple right? Surely a 7th grader could do this without much problem, right? Wrong. One kid couldn't spell his middle name. I kid you not. Couldn't spell it. Two others didn't know their addresses. I was so frustrated with them! Jeez. Come on already! Think for a minute! They act like they haven't learned a thing!
It went down hill from there.
I hope it is just the hormones making me crazy. I hope things will be better tomorrow.
How frustrating! But the countdown has begun and in 6 short days.. you can be done with school and enjoy your break! You deserve it!
