The verdict is not (quite) bronchitis. The pedi doesn't think that he has bronchitis, but she did say that he is at risk for it. The wheezing we hear cleared some when he coughed, so she wasn't comfortable giving us any meds. She wants us to take the wait and see approach. I hope that doesn't mean we'll see something on the weekend ending in a trip to the ER in the middle of the night. If so, I am so calling her...oh, yes I am.

I was at my mom's today, picking up the boys when she got a knock at her door. She opened it to a loud "April Fool's Day!" My grandmother was standing there. We were shocked.

Now this is going to seem ungrateful and horrible, but I wasn't exactly glad to see her. I love my grandmother and all, but the selfish part of me just thought about how I'd have to spend every waking minute at my mom's visiting her. She even managed to make me feel guilty when I took my over tired boys home this afternoon for a nap!

My grandmother lives about ten hours away, which usually means plenty of warning before we see her. That is something I really appreciate because I like to wrap my mind around the idea of visiting and socializing before I actually have to do it. (I have become somewhat of a homebody now. RSV quarantines tend to do that to a person.) This time I had no chance to prepare!

I can't wait to talk to my mom to feel her out on this surprise. I'd feel less like a heel if my mom expresses a similar reaction.

Plus, everyone is still sick and not at our best. The boys are cranky. I am cranky. Even my mom is cranky! I am sure this will mean that my grandma will get caught up in our germ fest and become cranky, too. (she doesn't need any extra cranky. trust me.)
