Nothing Compares

How can I write anything as great as my last post? I just can't. Nothing else going on with us even compares. Maybe posting this dumb little bit will help me get over that feeling...

I've been tiling my mom's laundry room the last two nights after work. Last night was the worst because I had to chip through so very uneven concrete. We finally got it leveled enough to get the tile down, so all that is left is grouting. My arm feels like it is going to fall off today. It's so, so sore. Yet another reminder that I am not as young as I used to be. Sigh.

    WOW !! What a nice daughter.
    Is this her mothers day present ?

    You know there is a product that you can mix and pour that is a subfloor and evens out any problems with the current floor.

    Oh yeah, we know about that, but the store was closed and I was not in the mood to have to go back another day. It was just in these two areas (my brother poured the concrete and didn't do a wonderful job leveling it out throughout the entire room).

    And nope, it wasn't a mom's day gift. It was just something I did for her...now she's talking about me tiling her living room, too. All 30x40 of it. Fun, fun, fun.
