Ja.son happened to hear me tell Is.aac that today is the boys' adjusted birthday (their due date). That little blurb said without thinking sent Ja.son over the edge. For the rest of the day he continued to ask if he was getting a party, presents, and cake. When I'd tell him "No" he'd get so sad and cry. Sigh. He isn't quite understanding the whole "adjusted" age thing.
No one even remembers this date but me. I suppose I should just drop it all together. I haven't though, because I still adjust age for Sh.awn (usually just in my head). I think he has earned a little extra chance to catch up considering all he's been through in his life.
We settled with giving them a doughnut with a candle in it. He was finally satisfied.
Hey. Chocolate doughnuts make everything better, right?
Sh.awn could have cared less anyway. He didn't have to have a reason to eat a doughnut; he just wanted the chocolate. That's my boy. :-)

Does anyone else think it is a strange coincidence that I am now nearly at the exact same gestation as I was when I delivered the boys, and today is their due date? It is freaky, right?
Am I over thinking the whole thing?
Probably.
