Tonight I was asked to write a letter to the court system asking for my student to be allowed to continue his education.
Not fun.
My gift for words failed me. I put it off for as long as I could. I am great at avoidance if nothing else, but at the very least I could do this one last thing for him.
When I finally sat down to start, I struggled with what to write so it sounded just the way I thought it should. (I mean, seriously, who knows what to write in these types of things?) What I came up with seems so pitiful in comparison to what I really wanted to say.
Sigh.
The second debriefing for staff is on Wednesday.
He'll get sent to adult prison this week as well.
Ugh...that last sentence. Yes, I know he did something wrong, but it's just heartbreaking.
