Friday Night Leftovers

We had a lovely Thanksgiving. The boys did not want to eat anything because it all was "ex-cust-ing." I did manage to coax them into trying a bite of each thing with the promise of a mini-marshmallow per bite. Jack apparently doesn't like mini-marshmallows either, so he did a fine job decorating my mom's floor with all of his food. Oh well.

Parenting at its best. lol.

Is.aac played his traditional "Turkey Bowl" football game on Thanksgiving morning. A bunch of guys have been getting together for years to play football.

Every year, he usually comes back with his fair share of aches and pains, (He forgets he's no longer 18 and in shape.) although I've been waiting for the call that will inevitably come about him or one of the other guys breaking something and having to rush to the ER. Fortunately, he made it through the game intact.

Afterward, they were talking/catching up with each other when he managed to crack a sizable chunk of his tooth while chewing a piece of gum.

Sigh.

We're thanking his lucky stars that he's not in pain right now, but the added expense of a crown is not something we need right now.

~~~
Ja.son asked me to marry him this afternoon. Oh how that melted my heart! Such a sweet boy!
Can I just say that I love online shopping. I mean really. I love it. I got to stay in my nice warm living room and shop. Things will be delivered right to my door. I couldn't ask for more!
~~~

I am having a really productive holiday so far, definitely not my norm! I have put up the Christmas lights on the house, started to address Christmas cards (they came today and I love them!), put up the Christmas tree, and did a little shopping. Go me!

  1. Life is funny sometimes. Funny how he goes out and plays football with no major injuries, comes home, chews some gum and cracks a tooth!

  2. I am a gigantic fan of online shopping, too! I was on hospital bedrest for a few weeks and that is ALL that I did - browse and shop! It gave me something to look forward to when I came home to a slew of packages :)

    Your post made me feel behind on decorating for Christmas :P

  4. Yes! Online shopping is the best thing EVER. Finding things I love without crowds or lines, while sitting in my bed in my pajamas? Yes, please.
