I'm not usually one who sticks with things. I enjoy getting started in activities, but I am guilty of growing bored and leaving things unfinished. Blogging has been a different story for me. Even when I don't think I have anything else to say, I come back. I can't seem to ignore the pull of writing in this space.
Time and time again, I sit in front of my computer and wait for the words to flow. For me the fingers don't lie; the words on these pages are an open window to my true self. While I tend to censor myself when I am in the real world, here I try to just go with where my emotions take me. I blog because it helps me process the craziness of my life. It's exhilarating and frightening all rolled into one.
When I first started blogging, it was easy to connect* with others following the same path I was. I read the
I write from the heart my truth as I know it. I am far from perfect, and as I'm sure you realize if you've been around for any length of time, I don't try to be perfect. What you see is what you get with me. Well, you would probably actually get less if you knew me in real life because I am fairly tight-lipped on personal stuff. I blog because it frees me to just be and feel.
*There is still the connection on the internet today, for which I am thankful, but the circle is no longer as tight now that there are so many blogs.

I appreciate people who are real and true to themselves. I read blogs that are similar --written by real people who own their struggles and mistakes, and try to learn from them. I shy away from blogs that depict that perfect life. Who in the hell has that?

Would you mind waving your hands at me in the comment section? I have no idea who's around here anymore. :)
I'm here, love reading and hearing about your boys! xx
ReplyDeleteHi, I am here. Have been for a while, but since I guess my life seems perfect (while I assure it is not), for some reason I haven't commented before. I love your comments on Cathy's blog. And your posts here as well, of course, otherwise I would stop coming. Anyway, hi, I am your friendly stalker, Mina. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm always excited to read more about your life. I've learned so much from you! Happy blogoversary
ReplyDelete((waves hand))
ReplyDeleteI still read all the blogs I found when I was TTC - even though everything has changed for me over the past 16 months.
I myself was a 31 week baby, and I had two siblings that were born premature and did not make it further than 1 month old.
I love reading about the triumphs of your twins, and the antics of their younger brother.

Not sure when I started reading. I started blogging (infertility) in 2007 and found you somewhere along that journey. I've since abandoned my blog and put the whole thing password protected. We now have 3 kids and, although we may try for a 4th, I don't feel the draw to blogging like I used to. My online presence is now pretty much just my Twitter account. I'm salayviewfarm on there if you're interested:-)

Waaaaaah? My life isn't perfect? :-)
ReplyDeleteI am here. I am celebrating with you. As long as you are writing (and I'll know because you're in my Reader so... no escape whenever you post), I'll be here.
And even if you're not writing, I'm still cheering you on. Because we're both twin mums. Because I've been reading you for so long, through all your blogging incarnation.
Happy blogoversary.
I'm still here! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 7 years!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversery!

I am here and reading :)
ReplyDeleteI read because I have grown to care about your boys, cheer for their victories, enjoy the pictures and sit in awe as they grow right before my eyes. I love to read people's stories, quietly cheering them on from the sidelines.
ReplyDeleteMe!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated blogoversary! Mwah!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading since the boys were just out of the NICU. I don't remember who's blog I clicked through to get here.
I have to say that I thought about them a lot when I was pregnant with my twin girls. I made it to 33.5 weeks before my uterus ruptured at my fibroid surgery site. We had a breeze of a NICU stay compared to so many others, so I am very thankful for that.
Happy Blogiversary! I'm here, reading for years and always wishing the best for you and your fam!
ReplyDeleteHappy 7 years!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still here too!! I don't really blog anymore but I still read :-) happy 7th blogoversary!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still here reading! Absolute crap at commenting, but I'm always here. Love, Meme
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI have read for ages -- I think the boys were just home from the hospital when I started reading. You were keeping a surgery count, I recall. I think I linked to you through cycle sista, maybe.
Always like to read about your kids.
Hi from Australia. I've been reading since the boys were tiny and I keep coming back to see how everyone is going :)
