My car chase story was one-upped by two people at work today. Here I was, thinking I had a pretty good story to tell about the dredge of society, but I was blown out of contention by a shooting around the corner from one person's house (not the same city as me) and a drunk who drove his car into another's neighbor's house (also a different city). I have to say it again. It is never boring in California.
--------
Started my period tonight, three days late. I only have a few hives on my hand that started about ten seconds before my bleeding did. For those of you who are into way too much info, it's heavy and clotted, which makes me think about things I don't want to consider (but do anyway).
I am trying not to think too hard about this, but you know how it is. I have been sucked back into the crappy world of trying to conceive. I hate it. I want to be just like those lucky women who blissfully get pregnant without a second thought. I never am like those women. I probably never will be.
So, I suppose I lick my wounds and keep on doing what needs to be done. It sure would have been nice, though, to do it while pregnant.
Great blog, I have to agree with you, the 'world of trying to conceive' is very crappy indeed. My IVF twins are only 6 months old, and all the disappointments preceeding the pregnancy still fresh in my mind. I think its awesome and brave that you're trying to conceive again less than a year after giving birth.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have been thinking about you Stacie. I was really, really hoping for you. I'm so sorry your hope got thwarted, my lovely. XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteStacie, sorry to hear this news. I, too, am in the same boat as you. Not to the same degree as last time, but not doing anything to prevent pregnancy at this point. I have not used bc for several months now and am back into the disappointment every month. I will use Clomid again, but I can't right now as I am still bf'ing. I worry that by the time we are ready to take the Clomid, I simply will be too old :( Infertility sucks. Wishing you well as you imbark on a new school year. Keep loving those cute boys of yours!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Stace. I know what you mean about just "getting" pregnant. I wish that could have happened for me too....not as likely for me though ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry!
ReplyDeleteI will be where are you soon- ttc- again. Thinking of you- ICLW
ReplyDeleteHi Stacie! It's my first time to visit your blog. I'm glad you are past "the very dark days" already.
ReplyDeleteWishing you well on your next attempts for a baby!
BTW, how'd you get to the decision of transferring 6 in IVF#3?
Oh how I hate having periods that make you wonder what could have been. It's the worst. So sorry that you have to be back on this merry-go-round and that it just can't be easy. For once.
ReplyDeletei'm so sorry, stacie. you're right, the TTC world is crappy and it sucks and i wish the process was much easier. {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteThose are some crazy stories!
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))) That damn ugly faced period had to show up...grrr!!
Stacie,
ReplyDeleteYou're so right. trying to conceive is crappy, even when we've managed to pull through before. It's just such a long and sh!tty haul if we don't get lucky.

Good luck to you. I am currently NOT trying NOT to conceive. Give me a month, and I'll join you on the TTC train. Our David's only 8+ months old, and my mom keeps telling us that we should wait, and not cheat him out of his babyhood. Fair, but with hubby having just turned 37, and my 29th around the corner, and 2 1/2 years and 2 mc's before we conceived David, I'm not willing to take the chance of finding out that David will forever be an only child unless we tried as soon as possible financially.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've got a lot of support and cosmic hope for you out there. As a nurse told me as I was going through my first mc, "if only all children were so wanted..."
