The boys hogged the bed and wondered whether mommy and daddy liked the cribs, but they didn't dwell on that too long. They had things to do, people to see! Soon it was time to get ready for the big day.
Here they are in their fine duds.
The ceremony was sweet. The bride and groom were so nervous! Beautiful, too! The groom, however, was a bit nervous while he waited for his bride. So what did he do? Apparently drink. He was a tad bit drunk by the time the ceremony started...umm...probably more than a tad.
Some snapshots afterward. My niece was gorgeous in her dress.
Can't forget the happy couple shot (he had gotten himself together some by then)...
It's reception time...
Ja.son and his new little grin.
Love, love, love this one of Sh.awn and Is.aac.
Finally, Ja.son took a little catnap with daddy.
And then it was over and time to return home.
We saw a lot of this...
That was actually better than the lots of black nothingness we saw on the way to our destination.
We stopped periodically for this type of thing...
I love that there is room in the car for us to change a diaper when needed. Wonder how long I've got before they out grow the space?
I briefly thought of posting a picture of the trip's aftermath, but I was too embarrassed. All of the crap I packed for the trip has now taken residence in the middle of the dining room floor (and good Lord, babies have a LOT of crap). At some point, you know, when I have free time, I'll have to put it all away. Not looking forward to that at all. Sigh.
And we have a nifty little souvenir of the trip.
Wait for it...
wait for it...
cause you know I can't make up stuff this good...

Sh.awn developed pink eye. Yep. Thanks whoever. We appreciate it.
Ok, seriously ... what the hell IS pinkeye? Is it conjunctivitis? I hope it's on its way out, whatever it is.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME PICS. I am LOVING your photos, Stacie. The ones in the hotel are so hilarious! They must have been waiting for room service! "Waiter, this bottle is WAY too cold." XOX
So glad you are all safe and sound. Yuck...Pink Eye...that is horrible anytime!!! I can't begin to imagine dealing with it for a baby...
ReplyDeleteEverybody looks great all dolled up!!!
What a BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL family!

What a great day to come visit for ICLW--great photo expose!! Love it! Your boys are darling, and good travelers too. We are taking a road trip this fall (for a wedding, living in a hotel) with a 3 yr old and a 4 month old--I hope we have as much luck!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful wedding!! Some of the background pictures look like a reception site I've been to before, but not sure if it's the same place. Sorry about the pink eye. Yuck!!

It looks like you guys (and the boys) had a really great time! Sorry about the pink eye! Ugh! Keep an eye on Jason (no pun intended), it's highly contagious, but I'm sure you know that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting pictures. It makes the trip so much more fun for us.
ReplyDeleteLove your dress (what I can see of it)
The boys are looking more and more like toddlers and less like little babies :( They are getting so big.
Luckily not too big to have their butt's changed on the floor of the car though :)
so many cute pics of the twins!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the pink eye - ewww.

I love the little outfits they wore to the wedding! Adorable!
ReplyDeletePink eye?! YUCK!
Oh, those babies are so darling!!!!! Love the pics...every one...looks like a wonderful trip! The aftermath though? Not so fun!
ReplyDeleteHere from ICLW...
The boys are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd YES, the amount of crap that babies need when they're such little people amazes me no end...

Your little guys are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThey look so handsome in their
wedding attire. And yes you are
very lucky that they are so well
behaved. Glad your trip went so well.
Awesome pictures! I love weddings. Your neice ~was~ in fact beautiful in her dress. Totally.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, it's freaking amazing how much you have to bring along for a baby. Our problem was having kids 14 months apart. They both needed such different items, I had no clue how to pack it all!
Great pictures! Sounds like the boys were perfect little travelers. Yeah!
ReplyDeleteAnd unpacking suck! It's my least favorite part of a trip.
Sounds like a perfectly wonderful trip - all but the souvenior. Congrats to your niece and her new hubs.

Yep, TC, it is conjunctivitis. Looks like I may now have it, too. Sh.awn is fascinated with my eyes. It hasn't matter what I do, he manages to sneak those hands up at least five or six times a day. Oh, and maybe Ja.son, too...I am treating him just in case. Never thought I would use that little tube of goop up, but it looks like we will get our money's worth.
ReplyDeleteSomehow Is.aac doesn't have it yet. I think I may contaminate him sometime in his sleep. I think he needs to join in on the fun, too. (just kidding--sort of)
Those boys are rocking the argyle! And your niece was a gorgeous bride. Thanks for sharing all of the pics!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics...and I'm sorry about the pink eye. That can be so hard to manage with kids.
