- For some reason I always feel like I am chasing everyone else and can't quite get my shit together. This person is able to do (insert something amazing), but I'm not. Another person is able to do (insert something else equally as amazing), yet that amazing thing had never really occurred to me as something that needed to be done until after I saw the other person doing it. It is happening all the time about all kinds of things. I can't say that I am bothered by not having my shit together exactly, even though I am aware that I probably should be. I don't know if that makes sense or not. It is the strangest feeling.
- Maybe it bothers me that it doesn't bother me.
- My husband is on a trip to Vegas with his friend, Spawn of Satan. No, that is not his name, but that is what I call him. Anyway, I am flying solo until Sunday, and I am slightly annoyed about it. So, I am on a mission to clean our garage and potty train Ja.son completely before he comes home, just to prove I can.
- I can only get Ja.son to poop on the potty and not pee. Isn't that backward? Isn't it supposed to be harder to get them to poop instead of pee? I gave the boy TWO glasses of water and waited for a freaking HOUR to get him to pee. I finally had to go feed Jack, so I made him get up. He wouldn't go...until two seconds AFTER I took him off the toilet. Grrr.
- On his first night gone, I had to get up 5 different times. IT SUCKED. Jack wanted TWO snacks. Jason fell out of bed at one point and had a night terror at another point (and after what happened the last time he had a night terror, I get up and check to see what he is doing now). And just to make sure I didn't ignore her, my cat decided that a glass sliding door was not a sufficient obstacle in her quest to attack some wandering tom cat. She literally tried to break through the glass to get at him. Scared the crap out of me.
- Hoping tonight goes a lot smoother.
- I think during one of my nighttime escapades I must have twisted my neck funny. I woke up with a stiff neck. I can barely turn it to the right. I would love to take some of the good stuff to take some of the pain away, but I guess I need to not so I can have my wits about me throughout the night. Boo.
- Speaking of good stuff, I was getting a cookbook out of a cupboard and found a stash of our prescription medications. (Don't ask why they are in the cupboard. I couldn't really answer why they are there. I have no idea.) Is it odd that we have 6 different types of narcotics between the two of us? And by us, I mean that I have 5 and he has 1? The bottles are pretty much full for them all, too. Maybe it is more odd that I still have them.
- You know, just in case.
- Ahem.
Stop by
Danifred's and see what everyone else is having.

juice boxes -- that's the pee trick.
juice boxes -- that's the only way i got my little man trained (just a few weeks ago) - he'd drink water and i swear he is part camel - cuz he could hold it for HOURS..... so i broke out the juice boxes (which are normally reserved as a treat) and give him 1 - if nothing - then follow up with a 2nd one - and BAM - he's got to pee. even if he thinks he doesn't - i sit him on the pot - read elmo's potty book to him - and he pee's.
try it - it's not magic - but it worked. i also reward with an M&M -- he gets to pick the color (always blue) IFF (yes that is if and only if) he pees. it worked - i swear by it.
my dentist probably wouldn't support the idea - but it worked - less than a week - and it worked.
now if only i could figure out how to get the garage clean....... feel free to share tips - the only cars we can fit in there have POWER WHEELS on them.
I keep any drugs until they expire, just in case.
Vegas?! Wow, so where are you going on your getaway?
Pooping on the potty came about a week before peeing on the potty with my son. It seemed backwards to me too, but hey, whatever gets them using the potty!
I swear that the only time the kids just refuse to sleep is when my husband is out of town. It never friggin' fails.
Is Jason tall enough to stand in front of the toilet and pee...maybe from a stool? If so, throw a few cheerios in and have him play target practice. It's amazing how well it works.
It doesn't bother me either...no worries.
I can't get Matt to poop on the potty...he spent 20 minutes in the car, 30 minutes waiting for Cars 2 to start, 2 hours during the movie, and 20 minutes home...all dry. It's like they're born with elephant bladders!
Ummmm...I had a horrible stiff neck from sleeping this weekend too. Are we living parallel lives?
