The sleep thing is not getting any better, but I have found that if I can stay up just a little later at night, I can sleep in until it starts to get light out in the morning. That makes me feel better. It just seems wrong to be that awake when it's dark outside. 6:00am has been my rising hour for the past two days. I'll wake up several times before that, but now I am able to go back to sleep after a little while (and a quick pee). While it isn't ideal, I can handle that time.
A new problem I have recently discovered is my husband's snoring. OMG that man can wake the dead. I guess I haven't really noticed it before, but now it is all I can think about while lying there next to him. It has created some tension on my end, and I must admit that I have some not very nice thoughts while listening to him. This morning I even contemplated how long it would take for a pillow over his head to shut him up! (Hormones, right?)
You might wonder why I don't just tell him to stop his snoring. Tried. Impossible. I will shove him over (I am beyond the nice pat on the shoulder to get him to stop) and he will stop snoring. I then try to fall back asleep as soon as possible so I don't hear him when he starts up again. He always beats me. Before too long, I am back to the pillow fantasies! Today I invested in some breathe right strips for his nose. Hope that helps some.
I am having a few symptoms now:
- sore bbs every now and then
- feel a little "yucky" after dinner and for the rest of the night. I don't feel any sickness in the mornings or during the day, and I haven't thrown-up.
- having strange pains in my groin and abdomen. I don't know how to explain them, because they don't really hurt and they're not really cramps. Maybe it is like an ache. From what I've read, it is too early for round ligament pains, so I have no idea what they are. They last for a few minutes and then stop.
- hunger is VERY intense. When I am hungry, I must eat right that minute. I get kind of light headed if I don't eat fast enough.
- sleep problems
- I fluctuate between constipation or diarrhea. Presently, I am back to the constipation.
- and I have a sore butt. While I realize this isn't a symptom, it is directly related to me being pregnant, so I have it here.
Only 8 more days until the big ultrasound! I can't wait...
P.S. Thanks to TOPCAT for tagging me. I really appreciate it! It was a pleasant surprise, and gave me lots to do while I tried to keep myself busy in the mornings!

My husband's snoring is also driving me crazy. 3am this morning I was tugging his pillows from under his head, kicking him and all but crying. I nearly slept in another room...except that I was cold. ARGH!
I understand the hunger pains- I was never a big breakfast eater. Now, all I want are carbs in the morning. Bagels, bread- anything hearty. I was on the train today and smelt scallion cream cheese. I hope it was scallion cream cheese I smelt. Anyway, the entire ride to work I said "I MUST HAVE SCALLION CREAM CHEESE". So I just had it on two slices of toast. I want more but I will not go that far. I am a hunger machine. It's not like me. I guess that's another reason why no summer clothes fit me.
You are so having AT LEAST twins.
The hunger part...the stretching pains already. :) Very multiple birth like.
8 more days huh ? How exciting.
I cant wait to find out how many babes are in there! Sorry about the sleeping thing!!
My husband has a snoring problem, so now I sleep with ear plugs! Works like a charm!
I know it sounds bonkers but when hubby snores I make a little noise-- like a click, click, click with my tongue. It shifts his sleep pattern and sometimes I am tried enough and fast enough to go back to sleep before he starts back up again.
That and a white noise machine..both those help.
Good luck with your waiting time...
I hope you can manage some decent sleep ... soon!!
xo
Omgosh, the snoring. I can sooooo relate.
