Sleep = a whole new me.
It is amazing how much better I feel by "just" getting an hour and a half more of sleep. I am not sitting here yawning already. I think I have formed several, wait, more than several coherent thoughts. I am not thinking about what I need to finish to hopefully be able to get a nap later in the day (which I never get anyway). I feel wonderful.
Ah. I love sleep.
And yes, the boys sleep through the night. Well, they sleep exactly 7 hours in a row before waking up. I don't know why it is 7, but it is. They'll go back down for another couple of hours after their morning bottles, but very rarely have they been able to sleep longer at one stretch without those bottles. And yes, I have tried many different things to extend the time. So, if I want to sleep in a little longer in the morning, I'll give them a bottle just before I go to bed. Then I get 7 hours of sleep in a row. I did that last night. When they woke up, I gave them their breakfast bottles, and down WE went for another few hours. (insert contented sigh here)
See, pre-baby, I was a 10 hour sleeper and slept like the dead (unless I heard a repeated noise). Now, I hear every little sound in the house. It totally sucks! Especially because Sh.awn is a sleep moaner. (I have heard from a slightly unreliable source Is.aac that I am a moaner, too. I have no idea what he is talking about!) Sh.awn rolls over and moans. He stretches his arm out and moans. I used to go in there to see what he moaned about, only to find him out cold and snoring. Now, I have to hear a moan followed by some sign of life before I'll go check. But, I still wake up when he does it.
There it is. Sleep makes for a much happier me! Who'd have thunk it?

I'm SO happy for you. Me and J talk about the days we would sleep until 12noon...wake up, eat, watch TV or a movie, take a nap. eat somemore...watch more TV and then go to bed. IF ONLY WE COULD DO THAT ONE MORE TIME !!!
I totally know what you mean.
My twins didn't start sleeping through the night until after their 1st birthday, and I can still remember that amazing feeling of being RESTED for the first time in a year once they finally slept through. I still don't know how I survived that level of extreme sleep deprivation for a full year...with two babies! (Yes, I deserve a cookie, damnit!) :)
Sleep is heaven. When we went on vacation, we slept in EVERY morning until at least 9. Otherwise, at home "sleeping in" is considered sleeping past 6.
That is honestly the ONLY thing I miss about the pre-babies days...!
