Only today I find that the college has had a special visitor over the last week.

I'm waiting to see how my district responds. Not holding my breathe that it will end with a happy teacher and students.
Sigh.
Is if freaking Friday yet? Seriously. This is ridiculous.

Well, if it is the univ. I think it is (the one I work at) - I wouldn't worry too much. The note we got yesterday from "administration" indicated that it was a student (now no longer contagious and feeling better) in IV... and I'm going to work so it better be OK!
well that stinks.
That sucks. I hope that the swine flu abates and the district decides to go forward with the trip.
P and I had been joking last week that the whole swine flu thing seemed to have been overblown, having faded from public consciousness as quickly as it entered. Then, on Monday, his boss was diagnosed. Ugh.

Oh mate, stupid frickin swine flu. It's starting down here now too ... a cruise ship docked in Sydney harbour and let all the passengers off, who have gone back to their homes, to possibly spread the oinky germs throughout the state. Wootaramo!

It is so weird that you are only a county away from me, an hour and a half by car, and we haven't had swine flu here and you have had so much of it! Good luck with the field trip - five hours until Friday. You'll make it. I know you will.
