Went painting with two good friends today. I love that although given the same instructions, our pictures were so different. lol
As fun as it is, I can't see myself doing this many more times. What would I do with all of the paintings? As it is, I have no idea what to do with the ones I've already done!

I'd appreciate some good thoughts. There has been a strong lead for a job for dh. He needs this for his sanity. I need this for mine.

I finally broke down and transitioned Jack out of his crib. I had to bypass the toddler bed because he's so freaking big and go straight to a twin bed. While I was at it, I updated the whole thing. He is in love with his new room.

How can our summer be half over already?

One of our fish died Thursday night. He's been "off" for a while now, so much so that there were a few times over the last several weeks when I thought he was dead. He'd perk up a little later and act fine again.
I was traumatized by the poor fish. It was clear that he was fighting a losing battle. He was barely breathing and then have a big spurt of energy for a bit. The process went on and on...it was horrible. For the life of me, I just couldn't leave it. The thought of him dying alone just made me so, so sad. My head would tell me I was all upset over a fish. My heart wouldn't listen. Clearly I have issues.

Thinking good things for Is.aac and the whole family! Hope it works out.
Hi from ICLW! I absolutely know what you're talking about in regards to your sick fishy. I just hate seeing anything suffering, no matter how small! I'm sending good thoughts to DH and hoping it all works out for you!
here from ICLW! I read a bit of your blog and your story. Love your paintings - so impressionistic.
I don't think you're wrong to be upset over a fish. It's really hard to watch a living creature struggle like that.
Hoping the job opportunity goes well for DH!
Hi from ICLW. Losing a fish is a big deal if you care for them as you seem to do.
Hi from ICLW! I'm sorry to hear about your fish. I know exactly how you feel though. We've had fish do the same thing and it kills me.
I want to do one of those painting classes. I've had friends who've done it and it looks like a lot of fun!
I love the paintings! You should keep it up-- they'll look lovely in the laundry room, bathroom--wherever!! I paint with my girls all the time, and we have their paintings hung all over the house. Our friends thought we were really into modern art at first!
Happy ICLW! So sorry to hear about your fish. Pets become family, so I can totally see how this is upsetting for you. I would be the same.
Good job transitioning the baby to a big bed! You are brave - I'm scared about doing this, b/c I'm actually really thankful that we have bars to keep her contained in the morning, haha.
I love that painting!
