A quick update because I am too tired to think. Shawn is still breaking out in the pox, but I hope that the last day of breakout was today or is tomorrow. It took Jason about 5 days to finish popping out, so I expect the same for Shawn. Now he wants to be held all the time--no rest for the weary (namely me).

My mom did test positive for lyme. Scary stuff. We're still trying to sort all of that out. She has been pretty sick, with fevers up to 102.5 degrees. I finally talked the doctor into giving us antibiotics. That has helped tremendously. We have an appointment with the infectious disease doctor this month.

There was an earthquake this morning. It shook pretty good. The boys didn't seem to mind it. I don't even think they noticed. It sure scared the crap out of me. Now I have them to think about, whereas before, earthquakes never seemed to bother me much. Anyway, all is well with the house, etc. No damage that I can see, so yea. Just a few rattled nerves.

Okay. I have a minute to sleep while the poxy boy is actually in his crib and not in my arms. I am off.

Good on you for sleeping when he does. I keep making myself a coffee when Monkey is down, then wonder why I'm so delirious in the evenings.

Could you carry Shawn around in a sling? I hope the breakout has had a ceasefire.

Good to hear you are all earthquake-safe. xoxoxoxox

Scary about your mom. I'm glad she's in good hands though.

Oh my goodness. You poor thing!
I hope the boys are completely recovered ASAP.
Keep us updated on your mom.. I'll say a little prayer for her.

Hang in there! The quake was the first my kids will really remember and they were volunteering at a camp at a local church and had to wrangle a dozen rowdy kids. They didn't seem too shaken. It was the first earthquake I experienced outside! A very different experience than being indoors, and one I much prefer! I have't checked the chimney, but probably should now that I think of it!!
