Lazy Days of Summer...

Nothing new is happening here lately. I have been laying around the house watching the boob tube and reading. I feel like such a slug, but I am trying to do as much resting as I can before school starts back up in a few weeks (2 and 1/2 to be exact, but who is counting?).

I did have a new pregnancy experience that has been happening since last week. I have had several braxton hicks contractions. Talk about a strange sensation! The first time it happened, I almost freaked out! They start out as a tightening of my stomach muscles on both sides of my abdomen. Then the tightening of both sides sort of moves in toward the center. My belly gets really hard for about 7-8 seconds and then relaxes. It isn't painful, it's just strange. I have had one on most days and two the other day. Called the doctor, and he said that things were okay and wait for my appointment on Monday UNLESS I get more than four in an hour. I haven't had anything near that. So...I guess I wait until Monday.

Dh and I did go to the local fair last night. The highlight was the soft pretzel sticks I got. Yum. I think I need to add them to the list of my favorite things! I also discovered that I can speak chicken along with my guinea pig. I had this rooster talking up a storm by just making a few clucking noises. I had people staring and everything! It was totally fun!

I hope something exciting happens this weekend...I need some action!
