I am seriously rethinking the idea that Is.aac would take Sh.awn to his pre-op appointment and both boys (with my mom's help) to the eye doctor tomorrow. I was foolish enough to think that I would have to go to work and actually make money. I have no clue as to what I was thinking. Temporary insanity?
So now, he is driving me up the freaking wall.
He has asked me three times already what he was supposed to find out tomorrow at both appointments. I think the only reason he isn't asking me the same questions right now is because I literally had to WRITE IT DOWN ON A PIECE OF PAPER FOR HIM. He didn't write it, I had to. Because his arms were broke or something.
Then he had the nerve to snap at me over something stupid.
Oh, no he di-ent. (say that with a head shake and several snaps for full effect)
His excuse was that he was nervous about tomorrow.
Holy hell, Is.aac. What do you think my life has been like the last 15 months or so? I have taken the boys to pretty much all of their appointments by myself this entire time. Granted, he did come with me to the neurosurgeon's appointments, but that is pretty much it.
Okay. Just had a thought here. I have now decided that the real reason that he is acting this way is so he doesn't have to take the boys to any other appointments on his own.
Very clever, Is.aac, but it won't work! I'm not letting you off the hook this easily.
Humph.

Speaking of tomorrow, can I get some positive thoughts for an eye appointment that doesn't end with the words "surgery is needed" for someone?
Can I also request loads of positive vibes for Thursday? I know this should be old hat for us now, but I am intensely nervous about Thursday for many reasons, most namely the stupid vent they'll put him on during his anesthesia. Our history with vents has just not been good. Plus we fall on the wrong side of the odds way too many times for me not to be worried.
Okay. While we're at it, can we just all pray that I got freaking knocked up this cycle? I just really think I need some more good things to happen in my life (besides my family), so why not start with pregnancy. No, really. If any of you have an inside connection with anything that could sway this outcome, please give it a go. For me. Cause you like me.
Hm. That was needy, wasn't it?

Have I said how weird things are getting at school yet? Well they are. People are just...off. Ten more days until the anniversary is behind us. Maybe then things will get back to something a little more "normal." Whatever that means at least.
Oh, and my evaluation went well. I am off the hook for another formal eval for 5 years. Yay. (Okay. This is sad, but one of my kids killed a cockroach during my lesson for the evaluation. No kidding. Eww. Let's just say that I am now afraid to bring anything home from school. Then the custodians put out some sort of bug killer crap all along the perimeter of my room. Said they'd clean it up by the next day. It's still there. It's been since Thursday afternoon.)

I suppose that's it. I guess I'll go watch Med.ium now.

I did the same thing to my husband. In the first month of the twins' lives I seemed to be at the doctor constantly for one of the three kids. I finally threw my hands up and said that's enough...you're turn. This turned into the K being in the ER for 5 days. I felt horrible that the one day I don't take one of the kids, it ends up being serious.
I'll be thinking of you all week and hoping that you hear good news from now on.
Good thoughts for you and the boys. It's time for good things to start happening. I demand it, for you and for me. Ok? I DEMAND it. And therefore it must happen.
Or ... something. But hey, I've never tried the demanding route before, maybe it will work.
you have all of my good vibes, thoughts, energy and prayers that everything will be fine with the appointments and the surgery.
I know exactly what you mean with your hubby......I wouldn't dare ask mine to try to take the kids to any kind of appointment. My phone would ring every 45 seconds and I would be asked every stupid question in the world.
And I will keep my fingers crossed about you getting knocked up....because all you need is morning sickness......:0)
Hugs!
I'm sending the positive vibes. Good news all around.
I hope the eye appts and pre-op go well. My gpa says that once he was asked to help paint in the house and did a bad job and was never asked again. Perhaps you husband is similarly clever....I think you may have hit the nail on the head! lol
Good luck with the cycle. You make me want to never try again with remembering how suck it is to hope and wait and...*shudder*
Sending good vibes and hugs for a GREAT appnt. for the boys tomorrow!
And also hoping you are knocked up!! HEHEHE! Really though it would be great!
Crossing everything possible for you!
Sending good vibes for the boys and their eyes, for your hubby to pull his head out, and for you to get some good news in the p-word realm.
Good luck Stacie!
And good job on your eval.
SO a husbandy thing to do. I can say that because my wife is more like a husband and does the SAME shit.
All you can do is spell it out for him and then make him do it.
And then call the doctor and get all of the notes and answers that you asked Isaac to get for you because inevitably he will lose the paper or forget or not ask at all :) ha ha
Just kidding. Kind of.
Good luck on all of it. The surgery, the appointments and the baby making.
Oh and haven't you seen Walle ? Gives you a new appreciation for those cockroaches.
My husband took our daughter to the first well-baby exam where she got her first vaccinations. He hasn't been back since. Apparently, doctor's appointments are for moms.
I hope all went well with the appointments...and that you're knocked up!
Sending you good wishes for a good appointment and for Thursday to go smoothly and all on the good side of the odds.
Ohhh, I watch Medium too. Im wishing so much luck on this cycle and with the boys' appointments.
Hubby's can be like that sometimes. Just wanna smack em sometimes.
Most men are whimps, my husband included. That is why we can share our bodies with babies, because we are way freaking tougher then men!
Good karma will come your way! Your boys will have all healthy check ups! My thoughts and prayers are for you and your family, Stacie! Hugs!
Thank you for the advice on the teen thing. I really appreciate it. Soemtimes I feel like a bad parent because my son doesn't do his homework.
Cynthia
