He had a full bottle of milk and kept it down.
But his eyes still tug to the left on occasion. He can look forward, but they "pull" to the left--the side they just revised. They were not tugging at all before. That is one of his pressure signs.
No tugging before surgery, but tugging afterward scares me. A lot.
Is.aac will push again for a CT scan. Something is not right. But they'll try to discharge him because as the fucker said, "We don't place the catheters in the wrong place." Um, yeah. I forgot you are a God and make no mistakes.
Neurosurgery has not rounded yet. We are room 1, so we are first on the list unless they purposely avoid us. So no news on anything.

I just read the posts of your weekend. I am so sorry for this turn of events. I seriously recommend you file a complaint against the neurosurgeon who upset you so much. How dare he. There is such a thing as a patient's bill of rights. I will be praying for Shawn's recovery.
Glad to hear that Shawn made it through the surgery okay...I know what you mean about parental intuition, especially because of all that you have been through and how well you know these signs. I'm praying that the hospital staff will believe you and get a CT scan--esp. in light of how many, many times this has happened now.
If you think something is not right, trust your gut. Call patient advocacy NOW and tell them your son is not ok, you need a CT scan, and a different attending.
I'm glad he's awake and talking, that's always a relief. I hope the CT scan is reassuring WHEN you get it.
I've been thinking about you and sending prayers non stop. Sending you so much love and peace!

I can't believe that asshole is allowed to practise medicine. I can't remember if you have ever formally complained about him before - by letter - to the powers that be. If not, do you think that would make you feel any better? Seriously - he sounds unbelievable.
I'm so sorry you all have to go through this.
Keep pushing for that CT scan. I know you will.
Sending positive vibes.

I am so glad he is talking, eating, and playing.
Do NOT let them discharge him without a CT. If you have to, take him to another hospital or doctor. You know your son better than anyone else and, it is always better to be safe when talking about the brain.
{{{Hugs}}} and I'm not trying to be bossy. I'm trying to support what you are thinking.
Oh love, I'm thinking of you all.
What's that and Boo are WONDERFUL to hear. Keep pushing. Keep demanding. Until you feel better.
I hope you feel better soon.
I agree with trusting your gut...make sure they listen to you. Don't leave if they don't.
I'm glad he made it through surgery ok. Thinking of you guys.
I agree keep pushing for that CT scan, you have always been right when you saw something wasn't the way it should be, keep trusting that.

Stacie, we have been thinking about you all day. Many prayers have been said for Shawn and the rest of you. I am so glad to hear that he is doing better. Like everyone else has said, you know your son better then the doctors do and if you feel something isn't right then fight. You are Shawn's voice. Let his voice be heard. You don't have to be ugly just be firm. If the butt doesn't listen then be ugly!! Lots of love and prayers sent your way.
Love,
Jen
