I've been as good as I can be since the transfer, but I have to say the whole "don't lift anything over 5 pounds" and "lay around as much as possible for the next 3 days" rapidly flew out the window. There is the matter of no one walking effectively yet and cribs/high chairs to get into that makes picking the boys up a must. Plus, I think the boys must know something is up because I swear they have been at their clingiest. I've tried explaining that I am trying to give them a sibling or two here so they need to relax some, but they don't seem to listen!
I am not deterred, however. I figure "normal" people go about their regular business in life everyday and they still manage to get and stay pregnant, so maybe I should be able to catch that same break, too. I think I am due for a break, right?
My ass is sore. If/when I find out this pregnancy stuck, I will only have somewhere around 66 more ass shots to contend with. I can do that. My butt will protest, but I can do it.
I do go in for blood work on the 13th for them to check estrogen and progesterone levels. After that, if I can help myself, I don't think I'll test until the beta day. I turn into a whole different person when I start to obsess about two lines and other craziness. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind at any time. :-)

Now, I must go back to trying to fix Ja.son's glasses. We've made it 9 months without a pair breaking. Today, I made the mistake of going to the bathroom and came back to Sh.awn holding an arm of Ja.son's glasses in his hands while Ja.son held the lenses and the rest of the frames in his hands. They broke them at the spring hinge, so I'm going to have to buy new frames. We tried and tried to fix them (we're talking for hours) to no avail, so I am off to dork the poor boy up and tape the suckers together for him. He has to have his glasses. I've arranged for my mom to watch Sh.awn tomorrow so I can take Ja.son to get new frames. Sigh.

I'm telling myself over and over again I'll wait until the required "16 days past transfer" (who the hell came up with those 16 days? Didn't s/he know that's way too long?? That's not just a 2ww, that's a 2w&2dw! Are they kidding me?!?) before I'll do a test. Yeah, right!
Two more days, and then we can hopefully freak out together... Compare hopelessly early tests together or something ;-)
That's a pretty good record for glasses. I know adults that go through glasses quicker.
To be honest, I don't think I could wait until beta day, but you do what is best for you. Still wishing you a successful transfer!
Have you tried Wal-mart for glasses? I know when Tyler got them at the age of 4 Wal-mart had a 1 year warranty. (I don't know if they still do) I think we went through 4 pairs of glasses the first year. Thank God for that warranty. :o)

I have to say I love our son's glasses and they are truly indestructible. They are the miraflex brand. We've lost a pair - her tossed them while out for a walk along the river but we've yet to break a pair.
9 months...wow. Are those the "cant break not matter how much you twist them into a pretzel" kind?
My adult. ADULT. sister needed to get herself a pair of those cause she was always breaking her glasses.
I can imagine what a pair of toddlers could do to a pair.

You ought to try zennioptical.com for back up glasses. They start at $8.00 for frames and lenses and go up form there. They are very nice. We bought a pair for Tyler and had to pay extra because his are so strong, and we only paid $17.00. All you have to do is have his prescription and his PD. Tyler says he can see just as good with his glasses as he can with his contacts. Chris loves his too. We just went to the optical shop and they told us what his PD was. It was that simple and for the price they can't be beat. I wish I knew about them when Tyler wore only glasses. Hope this helps and saves you your other arm and leg. Heck you might need them to hold a new baby or 2. :o)
