The Wait Continues

So, I dragged myself and the dynamic duo down to the clinic for the big blood draw. Called Is.aac and had him meet us there so he could be on baby duty in the car while I went in to do the deed.

We were all set.

I got into the clinic, signed in and waited in the crowded waiting room for them to call my name. A few minutes later, the nurse called me over to the front desk.

Nurse: "Are you going out of town?"

Me: "No."

N: "We have you scheduled for your blood work on Monday, not today. I was just trying to figure out what was going on."

M: "Well, my paperwork says today. The nurse assistant had originally put the 18th, but she changed it to Friday, the 17th, because you don't do pregnancy tests on the weekend."

N: "Really? The paperwork we have says the 20th. See?" (I think she implied I was an idiot. I can't be exactly sure, but I think that is what she did.)

I confirmed it said the 20th.

M: "I am fairly certain that my paperwork says the 17th. I even checked to make sure." (I checked the other day, but she didn't need to know that)

M: "I've been getting positives since 9dpo."

N: "Well, I guess we can just do it today." (you're darn straight you're doing it today) "You can come in for your repeat beta on Tuesday.

M: "That's fine." (what-ev-er--add major eye rolling on my part as I walk away)

Did my blood work and came home. First thing I did was check my paperwork. See...I am not crazy. Is it wrong that I want to drive back there and shove it in the nurse's face?

I hate it when they do things like this. Sigh.

So begins the waiting.

I'll update when I get my number. I have to say that this one doesn't really worry me. I tend to do pretty well on betas. I think my lowest at 14dpo was 90.

It is the doubling that gets me...
