My Opinion May Count...Somewhere

I just got an email saying that we could (will probably) be joining the Niel.sen's Home.scan Con.sumer Pan.el. We get a hand held scanner to use for scanning the bar codes on all of our purchases. (that part excites Is.aac) Then once a week we'll send the info into the Niel.sen company so manufacturers and retailers can decide what products to make and sell. I'm am excited about this because we’ll earn gift points that are redeemable for merchandise as well as entries into the companies' sweepstakes. I get all loopy when someone offers me something for free. :-)

Now, I don't know how much of a pain in the rear end it will be to actually scan the bar codes of everything we buy. The good thing is that we don't get out of the house enough to really do a whole of shopping other than for groceries. (Hm, I wonder if they'll judge me for all the Pep.si and Ding Dongs I buy? I mustn't think about that or I 'd be tempted to go all healthy! Ha!) If it is too difficult to maintain, then we'll just stop participating.

Doesn't this sound kind of cool?

Your comment about Pepsi and Ding Dongs reminds me of an episode of Roseanne where they become a Niel.sen TV family. They start watching PBS because their usual TV selections are too embarrassing and low-brow.

Hope I's excitement continues and he does all the scanning!

This post brought tears to my eyes.
And as much as I want to cheer out loud for Shawn and Jason....I have never had a doubt...for one second that those boys wouldn't do amazing things. it's you that I want to bawl out loud for Stacie. I am so proud of you. I can't imagine the strength that it takes to go through what you have gone through. but the strength to say these things out loud has to be harder than sitting alone with those dark thoughts on those dark days. To label those things that scare the living shit out of you. Because you just don't know what your future holds.
I can tell you that as long as they have you....those boys are going to continue to amaze and delight everyone they cross paths with. and you my friend. have already.

That sounds like fun! (Is that comment at 1:43 about something else? Cause this post didn't make me wanna cry. Maybe I'm reading it wrong?)

I think she was referring to the post below this one--the one about the boys' neuro appointment.
