Yesterday we were told by the doctor that we would take Jason home today. We got there only to find he had changed his mind. Jason didn't gain enough weight over night (although the doctor told me he just needed to gain and didn't specify that it had to be a certain amount).

This one hurt. Another time of getting my hopes up to have them dashed. Cried all the way home.

We are supposed to see if he can go home tomorrow. Not holding my breath.

Sigh. 92 days and counting.

I need to go to bed.

He is coming home- this is not a setback, just a temporary 'delay'. You know how much he wants to come home to be with you so he will gain all he has to in order to come home! Yes the doctor should have been very specific with what his 'criteria' was so you were both more informed and aware. That wasn't very fair of him.
But be happy- He is coming home Stacie!!!!!!! ITS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!

they will be home when the doctors think they are ready- you dont want them home when they are not, only to have to take them back. its getting closer!

Oh that's weird that they would talk about the weight...especially with how big the boys are. They always said in our NICU that they had to bottle all their feeds within a certain amount of time. Ugh...so frustrating!! I hope you bring your wee bundle home today!

92 days is a very very long time indeed. Hoping today will at long last be the day to take home at least one of your precious boys.

Wow, that was really, really sucktastic of the Dr. However, if it is for Jason's benefit then maybe it's the right thing to do. He could have been a bit more specific though - he didn't have to break your heart like that.

It is hard to believe it has been 92 days! It is also hard to believe you'll be taking your boys home soon! So amazing...

UGH! Why would they tell you definitely yes then take it back?? That's just mean.

Keep your chin up but also let those tears out...they are well deserved.
