I had a meltdown today. Shawn is still having trouble eating, making every meal a torture session for all involved. I fed him this morning and we both cried the entire time. It is awful.
Went to the pediatrician for Jason's RSV booster. (He weighs just shy of 11 pounds. Yeah.) Told her of the trouble we are having feeding Shawn, and she said to bring him in for another weight check and discuss other options. We go in on Wednesday, even though they have their 4 month appointment next week. I sure hope she can help. It is killing me...

Hope they can help you - that does sound really frustrating for both of you! Hang in there! Meme
I wonder if it's a reflux thing? Good thing he is going to see the doc.
Breakdowns will happen. Trust me. I still have them when we are all having a bad day. I got both babies with double ear infections, and Jake vomited on me yesterday. I cried. They cried. We all cried.
Sometimes I find it feels better just to get those cries out. Hang in there.
I'm sorry. I hope that you can find some answers....raising them without food/eating issues is hard enough.
HI Stacie...
Just wanted to say hello and offer some support. I have 5 month old twin boys and also live in California. Though I did not have the prematurity issues you have had, I do know how hard it can be w/ twins at times. I'm sorry Shawn is having a hard time eating. I hope that works itself out quickly. Any chance its reflux? We had that issue and Zantac was a life saver.
Love the pics from your past post by the way! Our are about to outgrow sharing one crib.. sniff sniff... They grow up so quickly.

I wish I had some advice.
does he take some and refuse the rest? if so maybe try feeding him 2 oz every 2 hours or 1 every hour so that you're not prolonging the frustration.
I hope the doc can help!
I'm so sorry. That's a real pain for you.
I hope they can come up with some answers that make both of your lives easier.
