Do you hear it? That loud ticking? That's the time bomb in my baby just waiting to go off.
My hopes that Shawn's latest surgery was the answer are evaporating as I write this. We are just waiting for the inevitable now...
waiting for the next surgery...
the second shunt...
my poor baby.
I am so sad that all of this is happening to him. I want him whole. I want him to be healthy. I want him "hardware" (as the doctors and nurses call it) free.
But it most likely won't happen that way.
He is still eating the normal amount again after his momentous poo yesterday, but his eyes are starting to get funny again. He is acting fussy again. He started to have wet burps again. And the thing that scares me most, he soft spot isn't so soft anymore.
I hold him and tell him to heal his head. I tell him that he can do it. He can make himself better--we can do it together.
But I know that he can't. We can't.
It makes me sick that I let this happen.
And as if my day hasn't been bad enough, I have to go speak to the officiant for my dad's memorial tonight and get stuff ready for Saturday.
If I even will get to go. I'll probably be in the hospital with Shawn.

I am really sorry - I hope things turn around. Poor Shawn, this is totally unfair!
Stacie please don't be so hard on yourself. In no way did you "let this happen". This is NOT your fault. Please please try to not take everything on your shoulders as being your fault. This stuff is way out of your control. The other day you thought you might need some meds or some kind of help.....i think you need someone to talk professionally as well. There is no shame in it but you can then put all this guilt to them and get it off your shoulders and they will help you see through this cloud that has become your life. It will help you get healthier and stronger so that if things do fall apart in the future at all you will be at your top fit able to handle anything. Please stop blaming yourself. Prayers are with you and the family as they are daily. Hugs to you. isa
Oh NO ! I'm still thinking positive. it's all just normal stuff that is scaring you. lets just believe that.
You have such a track record though that it worries me.
That damn mothers instinct of yours.
Praying for you Stacie. praying for your family.
I am sorry stacie. My thoughts and prayers are with you on this road ahead.
Stacie, I'm sorry that you're having such a rough time right now,
J
