I made it through yesterday. It was so much easier in a way, yet still so much harder than I ever thought possible. Does that make sense? I think I must have said that I didn't want to do this to myself about a hundred times. If only things were that easy to get out of--just say you don't want to do something, and you don't. Yes, that sure would be nice.
I think my dad would have been pleased with who came and how it went. We guessed that there were somewhere between 150 to 200 people there. That makes me happy.
I have slept most of today in an attempt at recovery from all the stress I've been under. (I am even still in my pajamas at 6:40 at night.) I am pretty sure I'll have to sleep a LOT more for it to make a difference, though.

The boys are hanging in there. They have seen more people in the last few days than they have in their entire lives put together. That has been another stressor for me. I hope they didn't catch something from someone they came in contact with this week. I was as careful as I could be with them, but you know how that goes.
Shawn has had mostly good days since my last panic. This morning, he was all smiles and in such a cheerful mood. I want so much to believe that this worked, but I have learned the hard way that wanting something doesn't make it so.
I am trying to make myself see that no matter what happens with him, he will be okay in the long run. These bumps in the road are just bumps. He seems to be hitting his adjusted age milestones, so I am trying to focus on that on not on the what ifs. That is incredibly hard to do.
The best news with him is that his cheeks are starting to fill out and he is back to gaining weight. I might even guess that he is up to 13 pounds or so. He actually likes to eat now. Thank goodness!
Jason, on the other hand, has to be at or above 15 pounds, and I would guess about 3 inches or so on Shawn. He can sleep through the night now. The first few nights he did it, we went in there a few times to make sure he was breathing, but now it is unusual for him to wake up for food in the middle of the night. (knock, knock, knock) It is perfect timing, too, because I go back to work next week.

Thank you, everyone, for being you and helping through these last few months. I know I have said this before, but I think you all need to be reminded every now and then about how important you and your comments are to me. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
Wednesday is my one year blogoversary. If I time it right, it will also be my 200th post. I have a little something special planned for you all as a celebration, so don't forget to stop by and check it out.
Much love,
Stacie

I'm so glad that the funeral went well.
I really do believe that everyone appreciated and saw the hard work you put in to it.
I think your boys sound delightful and maybe like they have made it over the biggest hurdles. Well except for the underage drinking thing in their dorms with nothing but sheets on...but again..you have PLENTY of time before you have to start stressing about that.
Can't wait to see our surprise.
I'm glad you made it through yesterday but then i always knew you would. But, i also knew it wouldnt be easy (i've been there before only it was with my mum) and I know exactly what you mean and how you felt. I'm so glad one of the little guys is now able to sleep through the night. That is a realy blesssing. I have friends who at age 3 still werent sleeping through the night so count your bleessings there too :) Also so glad to hear about expanding cheeks lol. I can literally see the image in my head and laugh as i imagine actually seeing his cheeks get fuller. It sounds like even with a rough day yesterday you are still able to pull out some positives with the boys and for that my dear i am grateful because i worry about you. Take a deep breath, get the sleep you can and who cares what time your in bed clothes until....(did i say i didnt even get out of mine today and i'm not chasing after twins!)NIGHT :) ISA
I have a lot of reading and catching up to do here but first I have to send you a hug:
(((((HUGGGGGGG))))))
Then I have to tell you how precious that giggle video is- I cant even explain how that made me grin ear to ear watching that! And third- how proud I am of you for making it through yesterday- as tough as it must have been for you, you did it. I'm glad that part is in the past and you can focus on trying to heal or at least move forward the best you can
Glad to hear how well Shawn and Jason are doing. Even though it was stressful for you to have them around so many people, I bet they ate up the attention and gave out lots and lots of adorable smiles! Jason is already 15 lbs! My sweetly petite baby girl weighed 17 lbs. 13 oz. at her one year check up (which was actually at 13 months). It was 14 lbs more than when she was born! I bet Shawn will be sleeping through the night before long, too.
Just wanted to give you another hug! I'm glad I found your blog, and I'm glad if I could give you just a little support and comfort in all that you have been going through.
You deserve to stay in your pjs non-stop, in my opinion! Glad to hear that the boys and doing well, and that (as hard as I'm sure it was) you made it through yesterday, and there was a good turnout to honor your father.
Hugs!
stacie, glad to hear the ceremony went ok. how hard that must be for you right now...
