Got an interesting call today. A reporter from News.week called and wants to talk to me about the stuff that happened at school. Wouldn't that be fun? We've been told not to talk to the press, although the can't prevent us from doing so. I wouldn't want to anyway. I see the press covering this story as something less than vultures, so I certainly don't want to help them. (no offense to anyone in the journalism profession)

The public defender is also making his rounds of the teachers. Looks like he wants to find character witnesses for the suspect. I am okay with helping him however I can. (I do still care about this kid.) From what we can guess, the new way to move this back into juvenile court is to try and prove that the school failed to protect the suspect from the victim. I think I may agree with that, too. It is definitely going to make things interesting in the weeks to come.
