A while back, I came across several blogs all talking about this fun exchange called "Sock It to Me." I investigated some and liked what I read. Kym, the founder of the exchange explained the idea behind the fun like this... "According to Dictionary.com, sockeroo is defined as a notable success. We might not all have successes on our individual journeys, but what we never fail at is offering support to one another. We're like a good pair of socks: no matter our different appearances or compositions, we provide warmth, comfort, and support."
What a great way to get to know some new people while getting my favorite thing--socks! (we are all sock crazy in this house)
Kym paired me up with a wonderful woman, Renee, from UnicornMommy. Although we literally met because of this exchange, it is amazing how much the two of us have in common. (If you can believe this, she even has brothers named Sh.awn and Ja.son!) She has an adorable 5 year old son, Bug. She is even ttc #2 now, also! Her blog is entertaining and I just know that I am going to love cheering her on the journey toward baby #2 and beyond. :-)
Renee sent me two pairs of socks. They came in a bag with a giraffe picture on the front. I'd show you that, but Ja.son helped me open the bag, and well, the bag and the picture didn't survive that experience.
The first pair of socks are these black polka dotted socks. They are super warm and comfy. I can see me wearing these socks all the time. It is good timing, too, because it looks like we're going to have a nice rainy weekend. Ahh...

Ja.son got a hold of the socks, too. His reaction was hilarious. He kept stroking the socks on his face and hugging them. When I wear the socks, he likes to rest his head on my feet. That right there tells you how super soft they are!
The second pair of socks Renee sent me were these. If you look at them, it looks like they are covered in tiny giraffe spots. They are perfect--the socks I'll be considering my lucky socks from this point forward.

So thank you, Kym, for the great idea of the sock exchange. Thank you Renee for the wonderful socks. It will be great getting to know you and traveling this journey with you! :-)

Awesome socks! Your sock buddy did a great job! I love the polka dots!
Great socks. Jason is just so adorable rubbing the socks on his face. I just want to squeeze him. Please give him a squeeze for me.
