I am heartbroken for his family. Please, if you can send a prayer or two into the universe for my neighbors and their little Noah, do. They will need all the love they can get.
Both Is.aac and I have been in a daze since we heard the news--each of us lost in our own memories of those Very Dark Days when it was such a real possibility that Sh.awn wouldn't make it. That fear and the pain from that time bubbles to the surface in times like these. Our family got lucky and we got our happy ending.
For some cosmic reason, my neighbors' family will not.
It's so unfair...

I will...
Don't know what else to say. We too were one of the lucky ones. It's a cruel joke that there are unlucky families, too...
Oh no. I know that feeling all too well, as we too ended up wondering why this stuff has to happen. Losing one of your twins is SO very hard, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Prayers for little Noah that he passes without pain, and that he is remembered with love for a very long time.
They are in my heart with everyone else. I am so sorry.
It must touch you way down deep, having been there and made it out. I hope you are doing as well as you can.
Thank you for being there for them.
I quietly follow your blog...a former ivf'er, mom of 3 lost babies, and now mom to twins and their little sister.
I wonder if the family next door knows about your blog, and that because of it, a woman they don't even know, is trying to carry on with her morning -- down on her hands and knees scrubbing fresh stains off the carpet -- and praying frantically for Noah, for them...
My mind is swirling, my heart is heavy...
I'm holding my breath, without even meaning to, trying to manage the overwhelming feelings that come with these losses. Holding my breath comes so naturally after all the losses. And it's the first thing I do when I hear someone else is about to say good bye. Still. Years later.
Wishing Noah got to have his life. And wishing they didn't have to say good bye. It's. Not. Fair.
I'm so sorry sweet family...
I wish I had the "right" words for right now, but there just aren't any.
p.s. - stacie, do they know about Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep? Some places are really good about offering this organization...http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/
sorry. i'm a stranger and maybe it's inappropriate to offer that sort of resource. i just don't have pictures...or anything to hang onto...and I've heard that families deeply treasure this org's work.
Thank you so much, everyone, for thinking of my neighbors. I really, really appreciate the love your sharing with a family in pain.
BI-Thank you for reminding me of the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep organization! I knew of it, but it didn't even occur to me in this situation! I looked up the number and passed the info on to them. She said she was going to call them...I hope this can bring them some comfort in the days and years to come...
And I just wanted to say thank you for leaving your comment. It brought tears to my eyes. I am going to figure out a way to print these words and give them to the family. I believe it will bring them much comfort to know that others in the world are praying for their family. Much love to you.
Oh how devastating. I can't imagine the pain.
Lots of prayers and comfort for them as well as for you and Isaac.
Praying for the family. I cannot imagine how difficult this is for them and how heartbreaking it must be.
Oh Stacie...my heart is breaking for your neighbors. They will be in my prayers.
I'm so sorry for all of you.... How horrible!
