1) I certainly didn't start putting out Christmas decorations yesterday only to have a late night discussion with Is.aac about having his family come over on Saturday to visit the boys. ("Didn't I tell you earlier in the week?" he said.) There's no way I'd then spend much of today after work picking up and repacking all of said decorations, because of course Is.aac's family does not celebrate Christmas thanks to the whole Jehovah's Witnesses thing. If it was me who did all of that, though, I would definitely deserve a medal for Wife of the Year for not strangling my husband when he came home and wondered out loud why I still wasn't finished yet. Ahem.
2) While were at it, it couldn't possibly be me who accidentally said something inappropriate at school today while teaching - without even realizing it because I thought I said something else which means my students and student teacher have all gone crazy - that may have rhymed with the word plucked and apparently was coupled with words that ended up as a sort of sexual innuendo. It also wasn't me who spent nearly five minutes trying to figure out what the heck they were talking about because no one was brave enough to tell me. And then, once I did understand what they thought I had said, it wasn't me who turned ten shades of red and got a little flustered. (But if it did happen to me, I was so grateful that it happened at the end of the class period because I had totally lost the class after that and just threw my hands up in the air and let them laugh at me and my red face. Eighth graders all have dirty minds it seems.)
Sigh.
Nope. None of that could have happened to me.
But, it is me who is feeling better. And for that I am thankful. :-)

LMAO!! yes i did.... Nice to see i mean read this side of you!! :-)
Hehehehe, sounds like the time my mom was teaching earth science and one of her students asked why you couldn't stop up a volcano with a giant rock to stop and eruption. She looked at the student with total disbelief and said, "That won't work. It's one great big blow job." Needless to say, the students (7th or 8th graders) completely lost it. Somehow, the story had completely circulated through the school before the next bell rang.
F- this f- that. :) that's what I always say :)
Hey....glad your monday is better :)
You know, I could totally see myself doing that with my students. But, not only would I be red, I would be joining in their childish laughter and dirty mind thinking.
so, I dont think I understand why YOU (or someone that could have been you but wasn't) has to rearrange your house and holiday decorations for his family.
Can't said In Laws respect the way you live and raise your family.
Not sure why your house has to be visually appealing to them.
But that is just the bitch in me... or someone who could be me saying that.
Carrie, I kept the laughter in until they left before I lost it. If I'd have laughed with this class there's no telling when I'd be able to teach in there again. They are a bit of a challenge on a good day. On bad days...I try not to think about their bad days. Sigh.
Renee, Thank you! I so agree! I don't think you're a bitch at all. Is.aac's family dynamics are interesting. And frustrating. And annoying. FYI, I am the heathen that is taking their precious child to the dark side. Bwahahahahahaha. :-)
Kristin, I'd have lost it with blow job, too. We have a male PE teacher that says all kinds of stuff that would create havoc when someone else says it. But, when he says it, there is never even a snicker from the kids. It's not fair! The latest one that I witnessed was when he asked the kids to stand "erect" while they were waiting in line. I looked around expectantly and nothing. Not even a smile. I was so disappointed!
K-thanks. I've brushed off the dust and am ready to move forward.
Janet, sadly, this kind of thing is pretty normal for me. I am such a dork. :-)
me too Stacie, me too!! ;-)
Eighth graders. *sigh* I spent this evening with two of them. Only one of them almost got thrown off the Coronado Bridge due to being a total asshole at dinner. Of course that one was mine.
