My level is 99 at 14dpo. (and dude, the hpts were totally making it seem like there was less in there with the lighter than previous year's lines)
I am pregnant, but dang if that number isn't freakishly close to the pregnancy last year. To all of the pregnancies that I lost.
This time will be different.
I am on Lovenox.
Right?
I spoke to the RE. There is no problem with waiting for a repeat draw until Saturday of next week when I return. He said should my levels decrease, the PIO wouldn't hurt me. Besides, I was going to stay on the progesterone longer to prevent starting af anyway.
He did say that my level was "strong" and levels like this are usually indicative of a viable pregnancy. The spotting, because it was brown and sparse, does not concern him at all. He says fifty percent of pregnancies will see some sort of spotting. (IVF pregnancies? All pregnancies?)
Yes, but. This is me we are talking about. When have I ever followed the "norm" and do what ever else does?
I didn't say that, but the thought was there.
Sigh,
So, there it is.
99
A "good" number.
Not what I was hoping for but what is expected at this point.
It still makes me worried.

Stacie, those dang betas....
you already know my feelings about them.
I'd tell you to celebrate the fact that you are pregnant (!) but I wasn't able to relax a bit until I hit those early 6-7 week ultrasounds. So, I feel your pain, anxiety, etc.
But, I am also going to choose to be happy and hopeful for you! Yea!!
Karen
99 is an awesome number! Not just good! (IMHO).
Wishing you the best.
Congrats!! It IS a good number, but your concern is certainly understandable... Sending lots of sticky vibes your way. ((hugs))
You will worry Stacie, until the day you give birth and see your baby in your arms. And heck, even after that you will still worry until, well forever.
Im confident in this pregnancy. I really honestly am.
My numbers and doubling time were better with my miscarriage than with my subsequently successful pregnancy. My boy's doubling time was only 42 hours. Not worrying is impossible but each pregnancy is different. Good luck.
hi - i am glad you went and got a number!
slap my ass and call me sally -- you're pregnant lady!
i'm praying for you that it sticks.
i too hate the around 100 number - my last m/c was 109 at 16 dpo and it sucks.
BUT **** betabase says that (and i quote) "median hcg for 14 dpo is 101" with over 2300 women reporting it -- so there were half of those who reported lower!
i sooooo wish you could find your way to a lab on monday - i can't remember where you are going for this meeting / work thing - but geeeesh isn't there a lab somewhere you can go to and have your RE's ofc get the results for you so you'd have a better piece of mind??
i am cautiously optimistic that this is a viable pregnancy! i think in my gut i am feeling singleton - girl - and you go 37w6d ---- that might be too specific though -- so for now - i am just hopeful you can find a lb - even if it's an independent lab or a neighboring RE's office you can sneak away to just before / after your day or at lunch?
man i wish i remembered where your going to be - refresh my mind?
someone needs to develop a HOME hcg test kit -- hey - that might just be your new invention -- it sure would save you (and MANY other women myself included) from spending hundred of $ on regular HPT's!
congrats doll - you're pregnant!
I completely 100% understand your hesitation to feel more than just mildly comforted by your beta. 100 @ 14dpo is average, but when "average" has proven itself in the past to not be good enough, it's hard not to feel concerned.
Still, I'm happy with your number. I praying for appropriate doubling and this round of "average" proves later to be something truly spectacular.
99 is a fabulous number. According to the chart on Advanced Fertility says for a normal singleton pregnancy the low level for 14 days is 48mIU/ml and the high is 119mIU/ml. You and this baby are going to be fine!
it's all good, no worries. Try to go and enjoy yourself and we'll see in a week.
I know you wanted a ridiculously high number so you could breathe a little, but it's a good number. One more week till next beta? I hope the week flies by.
That's a great singleton number. Of course you're worried. You've been through too much to be the happy go lucky, + = baby, woman. Hang in there. Enjoy your upcoming alone time.
I say congratulations! I know that it's not a big sigh of relief like we always want, and that's hard. I'm happy for you! I'm always thinking about you, and feeling excited :)
Good news. Trust the doctor. Don't have a choice, do we?
Go in, smell the sleeping boys, rub your tummy, run your hands through your pee sticks and get some sleep.
Congratulations!
I wish it was a higher number only so that YOU would feel more confidant.
It's going to be a long week - I know.
But you are pregnant!
:)
Carrie
Sending lots of doubling and tripling beta vibes :)
Congratulations girl ! You are pregnant.
Good number!
I have a question/ concern, though. You said your clinic wanted 100 at 15dpo, and you were tested at 14 dpo and got a 99. If that's not a typo, and your beta does what it should and doubles every 48 hours (increasing by one half in 24 hours) wouldn't that mean your beta at 15dpo would be somewhere around 150? Or is my understanding of it all messed up?
Anyways, sending good thoughts!
Emily
Emily, Yes, theoretically I would have 150 at 15dpo, which would be well above what they are expecting at 15dpo.
Work your magic Lovenox!
My beta at 13 dpo was 53. She is now 10 months old. I think your number is right where it should be. Congratulations!
Revel in the now. What do you know right at this point in time? You know that you're pregnant with a beta of 99 at 14dpo.
Focus on the now, the future will be what it will be.
Right now you're pregnant, congratulations!
Even though the beta is not close to what you did exect, it is still not a sign that the pregnancy would continue...sending you super-trooper vibes for the days ahead!
And hey, Happy Anniversary!
Stacie, I am so excited for you! Sending good wishes and prayers your way. Happy Anniversary!!
It seems that we are going through a very similar sitution right now - prior miscarriages + IVF + brown spotting + paranoia...my beta is tomorrow and I feel like I'm losing hope of staying the P word.
Hoping the very best for you and that 99 beta breaks the trend and isnt the "kiss of death" this time around.
