Two Moms

These boys of mine...

Today they noticed that another boy at therapy only comes to "school" with his dad. On the way to the car, they asked where this boy's mom was.

I told them that I didn't know, but that there are lots of different kinds of families. Some kids live with their mommy and daddy. Some kids live with just their mommy, while other kids live with just their daddy. Some kids live with their grandmas. Some kids live with two mommies or two daddies even.

From the back seat I heard, "Two mommies? I like that. Two is always better than one!"

I had to crack up at that one. Of course they went on to decide that there maybe should be a daddy and that they might want to replace me as one of the moms, but it was still funny.
